WELCOME TO LIFE CHOICES!

Life is full of choices. Sometimes we are very aware of them and give our decisions careful analysis before we come to a conclusion. On the other hand, at times we are confronted with choices that seem to appear out of nowhere and catch us unawares.

My goal at Life Choices is to lend a hand for both possibilities: making decisions that we are prepared for as well as learning to be attentive and wise when confronting the unexpected.

“The value of life lies, not in length of days, but in the use we make of them; a man may live long yet live very little” Montaigne

Does that sound familiar? Too many people around us are living long but living very little. Why? Very often this has to do with the choices we make. Circumstances play a big part in the quality of our lives but our choices dictate our responses to those circumstances.

Let’s consider these questions that you might have about Life Choices:

Why Christian?

In the Bible, John 6.68, Peter replies to Jesus’ challenge to the disciples about continuing to follow Him. In this verse Peter says, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life”. And in 2 Timothy 3.16 the Apostle Paul writes this: “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness.” (All verses NASB)

The basis for my Counseling and Life Coaching is the Word of God. The Bible is the record of God’s teachings to us. What this means is that I implement Scriptural teachings in how I counsel and coach because, like Peter and Paul, I see ultimate value in applying these “words of life” to us today.

Why Counseling?

There can be times in any of our lives when circumstances just seem to get the best of us. Whether it is job loss, marital and relationship difficulties, or death of a loved one, these, and other issues can bring about an emotional strain that we have a hard time navigating. Counseling is intended to address a variety of emotional and behavioral issues which may be the result of our past circumstances and/or current difficulties.
